Gut Busting...it's what we do best! United under the same banner known as improvisational theatre, the Gut Busters set out to raise awareness (through the power of comedy) of Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis, two seldom-discussed digestive diseases that affect over 1.4 million Americans today, including 150,000 children.
The group of six call the South Side of Chicago their home and utilize a style of theatre known as improvisation (made famous by The Second City in Chicago), the Gut Busters perform on-the-spot scenes based on the audience's suggestion. In addition, they create/write segments revolving around Crohn's and Colitis.
Our mission is to not just raise awareness but to help patients and their families contend with their circumstances by maintaining a sense of humor! We look forward to performing more in the future and all proceeds from our shows benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
